At HYPNOSIS for Life, our success is based on your success, and we find that our most successful clients are the ones who are well enough informed about hypnotherapy that they are comfortable and active participants in their own transformation.
To make you a comfortable participant in your own transformation, we share with you some questions many hypnotherapy clients have, and invite you to ask your own. We are committed to providing you with help and support and acting as helpful companions on your journey to where you want to be. We are also dedicated to helping you achieve lasting change and improvement, and pledge to take the time and energy to answer your questions.
Q: What is Hypnotherapy?
A: Hypnotherapy is the act of communicating with the subconscious mind during the brain state (referred to as Alpha and Theta) when the mind is relaxed enough to allow clear and purposeful communication with the subconscious mind.
Q: Is Hypnotherapy safe?
A: Yes, absolutely. The state that the brain is in during hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation that most people enter and exit multiple times every day. It is the brain state of daydreaming and also occurs just before we fall asleep. If you have ever been lulled into relaxation by the soothing, repetitive sounds of music, waves or by your own breathing, you were in a state of hypnosis.
Q: Is Hypnotherapy successful?
A: Yes, Hypnotherapy can be very successful, and you can help to ensure your own success by being open to hypnosis, making a firm commitment to stick with it, and by working with your Hypnotherapist to learn how to access your subconscious mind to achieve lasting change.
Q: Is there anyway I can become stuck in a state of hypnosis and not wake up?
A: No, if you do not come out of the hypnotic state at the suggestion of the Hypnotherapist, you will simply fall asleep and awaken naturally
Q: Can everyone be hypnotized?
A: Yes, because the state of hypnosis is a natural state, like sleep, everyone can be hypnotized.
Q: Will I lose control while I am in a state of hypnosis?
A: No, never. While you are hypnotized, you will understand everything that is going on, and your normal standards of behavior will still be firmly in place. No one will be able to make you do anything that would be outside your normal code of behavior.
Q: Is there anything “supernatural” about hypnosis?
A: No, hypnosis is a natural brain state experienced daily by all humans with normal brain functioning. The only thing that may be considered “super” about it is how hypnotherapy can help!
Q: Who can benefit from Hypnotherapy?
A: Hypnosis can help with chronic pain, weight loss, stopping smoking or other addictive behaviors, insomnia, low self-esteem, fears and phobias, being emotionally overwhelmed, grief, habits you wish to eliminate, procrastination, relationship issues, past-life regression, and more! If you do not see your particular problem on this list, just ask us about it- we can usually help.
Q: What will I feel when you hypnotize me?
A: You will feel very relaxed and focused. You will be in a relaxed state, but completely aware of everything that is happening around you. You will remember everything. The most profound feeling is of peace and relaxation, and of seeing your life from a healthier perspective.
Q: Will I see positive changes immediately?
A: You will always feel better after hypnosis; you will feel relaxed and more positive about what you are trying to achieve. The length of time before you see lasting improvement for your particular problem will vary. Deeper and larger issues take longer to resolve than smaller issues, so how soon you reach your goal will vary. You have to remember that you are trying to change negative behavior patterns, limiting thoughts and destructive beliefs that have been years in the making, so they may take some time to change.
Q: How many sessions will it take to see lasting change?
A: This depends on several factors: the problem you are trying to address, your willingness to change and your openness to hypnosis, but many clients see lasting change after three or four sessions. Changing the thoughts, beliefs and behaviors of the subconscious requires consistency, however; regularly scheduled Hypnotherapy sessions are your best option for lasting change. Quick fixes do not last. How many sessions you ultimately choose to have is entirely up to you- at Hypnosis For Life, you are always in charge!
Q: What are the fees for Hypnotherapy sessions?
A: One session is US$100. Sessions typically run for 1-1.5 hours. We offer three session package which is US$290. Past Life Regression: $125. Spiritual Regression: $250.
